Literacy Activity

Our librarian has brought together a collection of novels with world culture related themes to help us better understand this exciting topic of study. You will be allowed to choose an exciting and interesting book to read for this activity!!

Choose one of the following Book Report Activities for your assigned book. You may NOT remove the book from the classroom. You must read the book during the assigned class periods. You will have designated reading time in class to do the activity. Follow the directions for your selected activity carefully. Think “outside the box” to receive the maximum points. To get an “A,” you have to create a “WOW” activity.

1. CONCEPT POSTER
2. MASK / MONOLOGUE
3. HERO’S VIEWPOINT CHILDREN'S BOOK
4. BROADSHEET

Helpful Hints for MAXIMUM Success
    1. Proof read your activity carefully
    2. Use proper sentence structure
    3. Do NOT end your sentences with a preposition (at, with, in, from, etc.) unless you are doing a mask monologue and the incorrect grammar would be consistent to your character’s speech
    4. Be sure to put your name and section on all your work.
    5. Titles of books need to underlined OR in italics
    6. You may use a word processor or computer to complete your assignment
